Frequently asked questions
No — REO is software. We run on locker hardware from any manufacturer whose controllers can host our device apps (Linux or Windows, x64 or ARM). If you're choosing hardware, we're happy to recommend manufacturers we've integrated with before.
Usually, yes. If your lockers have a controller we can deploy to, we install the REO device apps alongside or in place of the existing software, import your parcel and site data, and switch networks over site by site — without taking the whole fleet offline.
The locker keeps working. Pickup codes are verified locally, doors keep opening, and every event is queued on the device. When connectivity returns, the locker syncs back automatically and your dashboard catches up — no manual reconciliation.
Through the REO public API: couriers reserve compartments and get access codes, shops create shipments from their order flow, and both receive webhooks as parcels move. Each integration gets a token scoped to your network only.
Every network runs on its own dedicated database — not a shared database with a tenant column. Cross-network access is structurally impossible, and API tokens are scoped per network, so the isolation extends to every integration.
Fully. The experience builder lets you design pages, flows, themes, fonts, and languages visually in the dashboard, preview them live, and publish to your fleet over the air — no developer or firmware release needed.
The per-locker price covers everything: cloud dashboard, device software, over-the-air updates, monitoring, and notifications. There are no setup fees and no per-parcel charges. See the pricing page for plan details.
On EU infrastructure by default, with data residency options for regulated operators on the Enterprise plan. All traffic between the cloud, lockers, and API is encrypted in transit.
With hardware on site, a first locker is typically live within days: install the device apps, claim the locker in your dashboard, configure your flows, and start dropping parcels. A full pilot evaluation usually runs 4–8 weeks.
Yes. Returns run through the same locker the customer picked up from, and compartment types (including oversize and cold-storage where hardware supports it) are modelled per site with their own allocation rules.
